Venture Strategies co-chairs working group on new technologies for reproductive health in crisis
settings
Ongoing efforts by the Inter-Agency Working Group on Reproductive Health in Crises are addressing the lack of quality reproductive health care available to the world's 37 million refugees and internally displaced persons. With the International Medical Corps, PATH and UNFPA, Venture Strategies is co-chairing the New Technologies Working Group. At a May 2008 meeting, jointly hosted by PATH and the Women's Refugee Commission, the group developed a summary of recommendations to increase access to appropriate new and underutilized reproductive health technologies in crisis settings. Misoprostol for postpartum hemorrhage is included in the recommendations available here. |
